This is the next installment of our Art and Europe Lecture Series. Join Marc Quinn, an artist known for his unique, often controversial, explorations of the human body and his role in shaping contemporary British art, to celebrate the NGA's birthday ahead of the upcoming opening of the Hyper Real exhibition on 20 October 2017.
$20, or $15 for NGA members.
Includes glass of wine at the conclusion of the event.
The National Gallery of Australia partnership with the ANU Centre for European Studies (2015-17) features lectures which showcase European links and influences. With the NGA’s extensive holdings of European art, there are many stories to be told through the collection.
The lectures focus on exploring the many connections between Australian and European history and culture and the Gallery's European art collection.
