Dr Annmarie Elijah was interviewed by Ryk Goddard on ABC Radio Hobart ahead of a series of EU Trade training workshops around Australia. As trade negotiations between Australia and the European Union are expected to get underway late this year, Annmarie Elijah and Ivana Damjanovic of the ANU Centre for European Studies are delivering EU Trade training workshops in capital cities for Australian stakeholders from different organisations and sectors who may have little or no famililarity with the EU. The training is being delivered as part of an EU funded Erasmus+ Jean Monnet Project that aims to help Australian policymakers, industry and civil society understand European Union trade policy.
Annmarie's interview is available on ABC's website for a limited time. The interview begins at 1 hour and 42 minutes into the recording.
The Hobart workshop takes place this afternoon at 2pm, with Perth and Adelaide workshops to follow next week on 21 and 22 May respectively. For more information about this project and upcoming training sessions, visit the trade training webpage.
