Participants will get the opportunity to present their ground-breaking research projects, initiatives, innovative ideas or business models to peers and a distinguished jury from academia and business, as well as a chance to win a trip to Berlin. Each participant has 3 minutes on stage to present their work, answering the question 'Which are the next walls to fall?'

Winners will also be awarded a ticket to attend the international Falling Walls Conference on 9 November 2017, where some of the world’s most prominent scientists present their breakthrough research. The 3 winners of the Lab Finale in Berlin will receive a cash prize and give their talks again on the grand stage of the Falling Walls Conference before 800 high-calibre guests from academia, research and business.
