About the presenter:

Lisa is an accomplished scholar in the area of Canadian politics, with a particular research focus on political parties, election finances and women’s participation in political life. She is the author of numerous journal articles, book chapters, conference papers and presentations; the co-author of four books; and the author of Feminists and Party Politics (UBC Press, 2000). She has sat on many academic and professional committees both inside and outside the university. Young holds a BA (Hons) from the University of Winnipeg, a MA from Carleton University, and a PhD from the University of Toronto. At the University of Calgary she is the recipient of a Killam Research Fellowship, the Faculty of Social Science Distinguished Teaching Award and the Faculty of Social Science Distinguished Researcher Award.
