Marie Sklodowska-Curie Fellow scheme - research mobility in practice

Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) support structured training, mobility and career development for researchers in Europe. They aim to ensure the optimum development and dynamic use of Europe’s intellectual capital in order to generate new skills and innovation. The actions date back to 1990 (Framework Programme 3 – FP3), used the Marie Curie label from 1996 (FP4) until 2013 (FP7) and since 2014 (Horizon 2020) used the MSCA label. By reinforcing the knowledge triangle and the importance of mobility through a bottom-up approach, the MSCA's are considered to be one of the most successful elements of the EU's research and innovation Framework Programmes.

The Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellows scheme is a key instrument within the suite of MSCA. It supports experienced researchers (must have a doctoral degree, with at least 4 years of full time research experience including on their doctorate) undertake mobility within and beyond Europe, as well as attracting the best foreign researchers to the EU.

At this event you will be able to learn more about the opportunities provided by the MSCA to researchers and institutions in Australia and moreover the experience of European Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellows in
Australia and the ANU as a recipient of these Fellows and to network with some of the European Fellows currently in Australia. The event will be of interest to both researchers wanting to take advantage of the opportunities and to policy makers looking to develop research mobility instruments in Australia.
