Economic relations with Latin America post COVID-19
COVID-19 has hit the economies of all regions. Latin America is no exception. The Australia Latin America Business Council (ALABC) has organised a series of webinars on how the pandemic has affected commercial relations with Latin America. ANCLAS has teamed up with ALABC to moderate a session on “Argentina: Challenges and opportunities for Trade and Investment post COVID19” on 18 June, at 8.30am. The link below provides registration details.
Argentina is the second largest country in South America and its second largest economy (after Brazil). It is immensely rich in resources and has a young and highly educated public. But it faces important social and economic challenges. Relations with Australia are solid but far from realising their full potential.
The intention of the webinar is to put the case to Australian interlocutors, at a time when the need to diversify relationships has been bought sharply into focus, that notwithstanding the challenges Argentina deserves a second look.
