The Australia and New Zealand School of Government (ANZSOG) has underlined its status as a global leader in research and evaluation on public administration and governance issues, with its monograph series receiving a quarter of a million downloads in 2018.

Since 2006, ANZSOG has published a series of monographs and occasional papers, under the auspices of ANU Press. The series addresses a diverse range of topics on public policy and administration, from both practical and theoretical perspectives. Contributors are drawn from academia, government and the private sector.

In 2018, the ANZSOG series received 248,662 downloads in 162 countries, from Afghanistan to Zambia. The most downloaded titles were ‘The Three Sector Solution: Delivering public policy in collaboration with not-for-profits and business’ (2016); ‘Studies in Australian Political Rhetoric’ (2014); and ‘Organisational Change and Project Management’ (2007). Each of these received over 10,000 downloads.

2018 also marked a significant milestone in the series, with its 50th title, ‘Value for Money: Budget and financial management reform in the People's Republic of China, Taiwan and Australia’, published.
