Heba Al Adawy is a PhD student at the School of Politics and International Relations at Australian National University. Her doctoral study focuses on the role of youth in the development-security nexus globally. As a case study, her research examines youth development initiatives in the Pakistani context, and the role of higher education institutes in building a resilient knowledge economy. Heba will be conducting her field study in Pakistan, interviewing policymakers, higher education officials and university representatives to gain a better understanding of relevant youth related initiatives and challenges therein.
