Carolyn Holbrook is an ARC DECRA Fellow in the Contemporary Histories Research Group at Deakin University and the Director of Australian Policy and History. Her current research examines the cultural history of Australian federalism since 1901, with an emphasis on popular attachment to the federation and its relationship to reform efforts. A co-edited book with Keir Reeves on The Great War: Aftermath and Commemoration will be published in November 2019 with UNSW Press, and her co-authored book, with James Walter, about the history of political decision-making in Australia since 1945, Across the Great Divide, will be published in 2020. Carolyn is the author of Anzac: The Unauthorised Biography (New South 2014), which won the NSW and Queensland Premier’s Literary awards in 2015.
