The Australian Politics Studies Centre (APSC) is here to promote and facilitate research on Australian politics.

We aim to foster research collaborations across Australia and broad through the promotion of the study of Australian political developments and how it compares with other countries around the world.

The Centre hosts an annual visiting fellows scheme (suspended in 2020 due to Covid-19), which includes travel and accommodation assistance and access to ANU facilities, such as office space. If you are interested see more details of the scheme here.

In 2019, the Centre offered the Director’s PhD Scholarship to encourage study of Australian Politics at the post graduate level. More information can be found here.

The Australian Politics Studies Centre is located at the Australian National University. It is a Centre within the ANU College of Arts and Social Sciences, hosted in the School of Politics and International Relations. The centre’s origins are in the Centre for the Study of Australian politics and the ANU Centre for Parliamentary studies.
