Two academics from ANU School of Politics and International Relations have been presented with awards at the 2011 Australian Political Studies Assocation (APSA) Conference held in Canberra from September 26 to 28.

Scott MacWilliam was awarded the PhD Thesis Prize: Annual, a prize that is awarded to the author of the best PhD dissertation completed in the previous year. The prize is determined by a sub-committee established by the Executive Committee of APSA. His supervisor was Dr Rick Kuhn

The award for best postgraduate paper at the Australian Political Studies Association Conference went to Mhairi Cowden for her paper called ‘No Harm, No Foul: Australian children’s right to know their genetic parents’.
