Thursday 6 February 2014

SPIR PhD student, Sarah Cameron, has been granted the Janet-Box Steffensmeier Scholarship to attend the ICPSR (Inter-University Consortium of Political and Social Research) Summer Program in Quantitative Methods of Social Research. The ICPSR Summer Program is internationally recognized as a preeminent forum for training in the methodologies of social science research. It is held at the University of Michigan from June to August 2014. During the two month program she will undertake comprehensive training in quantitative research methods, including regression analysis and multi-level modelling.

The award is granted by the Society for Political Methodology, a section of the American Political Science Association. The award is named in honor of Janet Box-Steffensmeier, a major figure in quantitative social science research and a strong supporter of the ICPSR Summer Program.
